The Knock on the Door! Last week's sermon drew from Christ's admonition in Luke 12 to remain always prepared for the arrival of the Savior. Our visiting pastor, Tom Gibbons, did a great job of pulling together that message with his own reminder that faith without works is empty. Tom's sermon did precisely what a good lesson always does,,, it got me to thinking.    The Post is located at 237 Post Hill Road, Mason, TX. The meeting will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.    The delegates from Texas Boys State and Texas Bluebonnet Girls State will attend and share their experiences this summer! Everyone is welcome. All members and interested veterans are encouraged to attend.
   The Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library has some outstanding photography on show this month. Trudy Irwin is graciously sharing a collection of her black-and-white photography in the hall display cases.    Trudy stated, “On a family camping trip to Big Bend when I was thirteen, I carried a Kodak Instamatic camera with me while hiking.
   The Mason Rodeo Association will be meeting this Sunday, August 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Willow Creek Café. Officers will be elected, committee assignments decided and decisions made regarding the 2017 Round Up Rodeo and Dance.    The Mason Rodeo Association “year” goes from Round Up to Round Up so this will be the kickoff meeting for the coming year.
   Wednesday, August 17th from 5-7 p.m.    Parents should enter through the cafeteria doors. Sign in sheets, PTO nominations, hot dog meal, and organization sign up will be available in the cafeteria. Food will be served from 5-6 p.m. School Toolbox orders will be waiting for you in your child’s homeroom class.    Title I Parent information available.
