Fairness In Response to In My Opinion article from 7/3/19 Thank you for a well-considered and well-written piece in your column last week. Some were probably not aware of the FCC’s Fairness Doctrine and its removal in 1987. I was in the television business in Dallas in 1987 and recall changes beginning to happen in news reporting even before the Fairness Doctrine was removed. When CNN began reporting 24 -hour news in 1980 was a benchmark, in my opinion, for the opportunity for news to ...

There are many activities and lots of ways to participate, but if you do not plan in advance I suspect you will miss some of the fun and excitement. Friday will be a preview with some great entertainment, and Saturday starting with the parade and then the car show and booths on the Courthouse Square, as well as Queen’s Court and Rodeo will leave most of us tired but proud to call Mason “home”.
