In many residential sales, sellers are required to provide information about the condition of the property, which benefits the buyer and seller.
IT’S REQUIRED BY TEXAS LAW
Sellers of a single-unit residential property are required to provide a seller’s disclosure notice to a buyer. The notice details what the sellers know about the property at the time they complete and sign the notice.
It’s that time again! Time for the Mason Band Auction! Like everything else this past year, the auction will look a little different than in previous years. Beginning at 10:00 am, we will be live on KHLB 102.5 radio, as well as live streaming on the Mighty Mason Puncher Band Facebook page.
The Mason High School varsity softball team is gearing up for the upcoming 2021 season as the Cowgirls officially released their schedule.

The Mason High School girls’ varsity basketball team went 1-1 in District 29-2A play this past week in two road games on Jan. 12 at San Saba High School and Jan. 15 at Center Point High School.
Mason Cowgirls 30, San Saba Lady Dillos 31
This was a game that was circled on the schedule at the very beginning of the season and it certainly lived up to the hype.
Although the Cowgirls came up just one point short on a game that came down to the final possession, Mason proved that it again ...

“THIS DOG’LL HUNT: An Entertaining Texas Dictionary” by Wallace O. Chariton (1989, Wordware Publishing, Inc., 1506 Capital Ave., Plano, TX 75074) is a collection of “Texasisms” -- metaphors, similes, and figures of speech that come from the mouths of citizens of our state.
Most of these originated from people who didn’t even know what a “simile” was.
If you like a savory bread every once in a while, you'll be sure to enjoy this one. As you can tell from the ingredients list, there's lots of different things going on; and if you don't care for some of the spices, just drop them out of your mix, and either add others or leave it alone.
The Geico insurance people had the chance to keep camels in front of folks, but lost 15 percent of their credibility when they chose a gecko instead of a camel for their mascot several years ago.
I thought their ad showing Caleb the Camel clopping through the office to ask workers if they could guess “which day is it” to be pure advertising genius.
The first part of David Attenborough’s book, “A Life on Our Planet” consists of a number of sub-sections based on what was going on in Attenborough’s life at that time. The first section began in 1937 when he was an 11-year-old riding his bike around to explore the English countryside and seashore.
This zesty Cajun-style pasta is full of lean chicken, peppers, and onions. I’ve never met a Cajun recipe I didn’t like or a Cajun that wasn’t a fabulous cook. Creole and Cajun cuisine have been mistaken to be the same, but the origins of Creole cooking began in New Orleans, and Cajun cooking came 40 years after the establishment of New Orleans.
Our household is facing a month of birthdays. Half of our group have birthdays in the next thirty days. We hope to be able to get together and celebrate but we accept that not all may be able to attend. I will still make cakes and food to cater to the birthday kid.
Texas weather is a mystery all the time.
Dear Editor,
I’m writing this to ask if there are people in our community (or out of it) who would be willing to offer a home to some of the Seaquist House cats. Even though they don’t live here, (they live next door), they are always in our yard, and as much as we love cats, there are just too many and we get complaints from other neighbors on the street.

Our recent snow storms have readers wondering how plants and animals survive the winter. In the past two weeks in this column, I’ve discussed animals that leave for the winter, and ones that remain active despite the cold. This week, I’ll discuss the different ways that plants and animals become dormant to survive the coldest months of the year.
Birds and mammals typically maintain relatively constant body temperatures through physiological processes that generate and retain heat within ...

Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano (F NAP)

Sunlight
Partial vs full. As you are deciding which vegetables to plant where you may see on the seed packet or on the description sticker of a plant, “requires full sunlight” or “does well in partial sunlight”. Partial sunlight or often partial shade is defined as 3-6 hours of direct sunlight.
