The First Baptist Church of Mason will be presenting, “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames,” a theatrical presentation of the gospel. The cast of the drama is made up of members of the FBC congregation.
Last year we presented this same drama, and we had nearly 400 people come to the performances over 3 day.
Join us this Sunday night, July 29th at 6 p.m. at River of Life Church as the churches in the Mason Ministerial Alliance gather to enjoy some great Gospel music together!
The Mason Ministerial Alliance is instrumental in serving the needs of our community and seeks to build relationships among the churches for the benefit of the entire county.
Central Texas Electric Cooperative is helping the Hill Country Community Needs Council with their annual school supply drive by serving as a drop off location for donations.
“This program ensures that children in grades K-12 will have what they need when they start school,” a spokesman said “Please help us help children in need in our community.”
The drive will run until the end of July and supplies can be dropped off at CTEC.
Hill Country Astronomers (HCA) will meet at 6:30 PM, Monday, August 6, in the HEB Activity Room at Hill Country University Center in Fredericksburg.
Club vice president, Bruce Barton, will present a program on telescope fundamentals - the types, how they work and important things to know about their operation.
Most HCA members live in Central Texas.
This year we will host a Fundamental basketball camp for 3rd through 8th grade girls & boys. The Fundamental camp will be July 30--August 2 & will be from 1pm to noon. The cost for the Fundamental will be $50 per camper. Checks for the Fundamental Camp should be made out to Jeff Guice.

The public is invited to attend the July 23, 2018 meeting of the Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program. Michael P. Masser Ph.D., a Professor and Extension Fisheries Specialist, will be the evening’s presenter. Dr. Masser will discuss both aquatic plant and animal invaders of Texas and what their impacts are or can be as they expand on our aquatic ecology. In a couple of cases he will include a species that is not here yet but that we expect to come.
