We have all been waiting for the fresh vegetables grown by Buenna Tierra Farms. They will be back on Saturday, April 15th, 5:00-7:00 pm, behind Santos and the wine bar. Currently they have beets, carrots, lettuce, kale, chard, cabbage and basil for sale. Sue Gierisch will be there with canned goods, fresh baked breads, and farm eggs. Mark and Sande Shaw will be selling fresh picked onions, baked goods, and farm eggs. Note the new day and time: Saturdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A free health and wellness program offered by Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. Methodist Healthcare Ministries and the United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church of Mason invite you to attend a free educational program on human trafficking. If you have a son or daughter that you will be sending to college or younger children, this is a program for you.
Spring is in the air, wild flowers are popping and now it’s time to have some fun. Mark your calendars for April 8th & 9th as we’re going to have a good time. We start off with a Gun Show, silent auction and bake sale but then we add in a Bar-B-Q cook off, washer pitching tournament and community “Trades Days”.
The Llano Country Opry will host “A Tribute To George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Conway Twitty” with Georgette Jones and Tre Twitty on Saturday, April 8, at the Lantex Theater in downtown Llano, Texas. The shows will begin at 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM and admission is $15.00 per person.
Come meet well-known Christian Fiction author Karen Witemeyer! She’s giving a book talk and book signing at the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Library, 410 Post Hill St., on Saturday, April 8th. The event will be in the Stribling Room of the library from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. Although she grew up in California, Karen attended Abilene Christian University where she earned bachelor and master’s degrees in Psychology.
Spring is here and what better way to celebrate than to create a beautiful apron to wear while spring cleaning! Pack your sewing machine, some lovely pre-washed fabric, your favorite apron pattern, and gather at the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library on Tuesday, April 11, from 10:00-2:00. Pat Searsy will be your teacher.
Our community was blessed with rain this week. Some reported over 3 inches. What a wonderful way to start spring. The final Lenten Lunch will be today, April 5, at noon at the River of Life Church. Next Sunday is Palm Sunday. The Art United Methodist Church will hand out boxes at the Food Bank Monday, April 10, Tuesday, April 11, and Wednesday, April 12 from 3 to 5:30.
Come to the square on Sunday, April 9th and bring your appetite! The Annual Hamburger Picnic will be held on the west side of the square under the awning of the Odeon Theater on Palm Sunday from 11-1. In addition to delicious hamburgers hot off the grill, guests will get a bag of chips and an ice cold soda for just $6.
