The Mason Study Club held their January meeting last Wednesday at the Mason County Library where they were served lunch by hostesses Alberta Birk, Sherie Clarkson, Karla Durst, and Margaret Persky. The City of Mason will be holding a City Officials Election, Saturday, May 5, 2018. City positions up for election this year are: Mayor At-Large, Commissioner District 1 and Commissioner District 3. Residents of the City of Mason who desire to place their name on the ballot for one of these positions may do so until Friday, February 16, 2018.

Over 500 youth participated in the 2018 Food Challenge competition held on Wednesday, January 24th in San Angelo, Texas. District 7 4-H and San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo teamed up to host the largest Food Challenge competition to date in the area.
