The 2020 Mason County Livestock Show & Expo is this week! Head out to the Fort Mason Park Community Building this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4 and show your support for Mason’s hard-working youth participating in this year’s show. The stock show will feature cattle, swine, sheep and goats as well as the Food and Nutrition Show, the Eldon Kothmann Memorial Ag Mechanics Show and the Fastest Torch in Mason County competition.

Bluesman Johnny Nicholas and friends will return to the Odeon theater in Mason, Tx Saturday January 18. Joining Nicholas are David Abeyta, former lead guitarist for Reckless Kelly and percussionist John Shipman. For 50 years Johnny Nicholas has been cooking up a rich concoction, offering the full spectrum of Americana music.

High school students in the Central Texas Electric Cooperative service area can now submit an essay to be one of three winners for the 2020 Government-in-Action Youth Tour, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., June 17-26. Essays must be turned in by January 24th for this opportunity that truly is the trip of a lifetime.
