More than 200 people were at the station Wednesday, Aug. 14 to witness the uncoupling of two fire hoses stretched between a Blanco fire truck and ambulance. After working for six years as the high school’s Student Success Coordinator, working with at-risk students, Amy Hackebeil has moved into a new role as the district’s Academic Dean. “Mr. Rosenbaum helped me understand that in this new role, I would be able to reach every student on campus by serving their teachers,” She said.

Joe D. Riba, entered his heavenly home of eternal rest on August 12, 2019, surrounded by his family at his home in Blanco, Texas, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Joe D. was born on November 2, 1938, in Blanco, Texas to Mildred Olivia (Heckel) and Herman Joseph Riba. He attended school in Blanco and graduated from Blanco High School.
