The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 record in District 25-3A competition this past week. Blanco hosted, the always competitive, Lago Vista Lady Vikings Tuesday, Sept. 3. Blanco took the win 3-1. The Panthers traveled to Austin Friday, Sept. 6 to play the IDEA Montopolis Bulldogs, a college preparatory school new to the district this year.
Valentin “Val” Martinez, III passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas with his loving family at his side. Val was born on January 26, 1983, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Christine Romero and Valentin Ramirez, Martinez, Sr. He was a 2002 graduate from Blanco High School and was a certified HVAC tech.
The ESD No. 2 Auxiliary Committee is sending out a call to arms to Blanco residents. Just as the definition of auxiliary denotes, the committee is exactly that; they are supplementary support and help to our firefighters and EMS of the ESD No. 2.
