William (“Bill”) Thomas Rife, Jr. passed from this life on January 30, 2025 in Sugar Land, Texas. He was surrounded by Gloria Rife, his wife of over 47 years, as well as children and a grandchild.
Three of Bill’s most favorite sayings were “Can’t never could,” “You can do whatever you set your mind to,” and “Don’t tell me what you can’t do - tell me what you can do;” mottos that marked Bill’s life and characterized the way that he lived.
Carla Denise Greenhaw, age 55, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 23, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, after a courageous battle with illnesses. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 24, 1969 to James Kenneth and Zoe Jane Goehmann Greenhaw.
Carla was preceded in death by her father, James Kenneth Greenhaw of Blanco,Texas.
Raymond Elroy Singleton passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 91. He was
born on August 3, 1933 to Charles and Mittie Singleton in Spicewood, Texas. He grew
up in Singleton Bend, running through the woods with his two best friends, who were
also his cousins, Lona Mae (Hall) Sheffield and Herschel Singleton.
Clifford Wayne Gibbons, affectionately known as "Wayno" to his family and friends, passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on August 1, 1950, in Austin, Texas.
Wayne grew up along the Blanco River, where he spent his childhood days fishing, swimming, and searching for fossils whenever he wasn’t helping with chores around the house.
Otto Carrol Fuchs, 82, of Blanco, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 2, 2025.
Otto (also known as Carrol) was born on Nov. 16, 1942, to Otto and Edna Mae (Johnson) Fuchs in Blanco. Carrol attended Blanco schools.
In 1964, Carrol met Jeanette Springer at a Blanco High School football game.
