Llano County employees will now get personal/flex time through at least the end of the year.
The commissioners voted Monday to give 12 hours of personal/flex time to county employees through the end of 2017. The policy will be effective immediately.

Llano ISD officially welcomes Mac Edwards this summer as the district’s superintendent of schools.
Although he is new to Llano ISD, he is not exactly new to Llano. Over the years, the Edwards family has been frequent visitors to Llano. His wife, Courtney Osbourn Edwards, is from Valley Spring, and they have been coming to town to visit her family for many years.

The mainframe for the structural part of the pre-engineered 2,300 square foot building has gone up in a matter of days. The inside will have the same turf as the football field and can be marked for football, baseball, soccer or any other turf sport, so that those teams, as well as the band, can practice there.

Jake Gilligan and Rey Gonzalez, two young men from San Antonio, brought the dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings, and, oh, yes, a two-ton cooker, to make the biggest pizza most of us will ever eat — or see.
Franklin Smith thought it was a prank when he received a phone call last Friday declaring him Llano’s Luckiest Dad. However, he was elated to be wrong as he was the winner of gifts and gift certificates from 13 local businesses in the contest. Thanks to Corner Drug Health Mart, Olen’s Ice Box, A&A’s Fantasy Floral & Gifts, Charlie’s Store, Llano Feed & Supply, Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que, Don Paul’s Seasonings, Buttery Company, glitzi j’s, Inman’s Station, DustDevilDiver Pho ...
