By Luke Clayton I was well into my twenties before I set down to a platter of catfish fillets. I was raised eating catfish either fried whole or cut into ‘steaks.’ My Dad probably didn’t even know what a ‘fillet’ was. Had he known, I’m positive he would have considered the practice of filleting a waste of good fish! Those children you love so much need you more than you know. They may live near, far, or right under your roof. They may be sailing and smiling through life. Or they may be headed for tough times. Every family is different, but one thing is sure: When you reach out with love, joy, and purpose, your grandkids benefit.

Texas Parks & Wildlife also did some stocking recently, placing 170,000 Florida strain largemouth bass fingerlings and 117,000 striper fingerlings. Speaking of Fr ...

The Petco Foundation investment will enable Hill Country Cats to TNR more cats this year and to offer TNR services to people who otherwise could not afford to spay and neuter feral cats in their neighborhood. HCC founder and board member Alice Rudenstein said, “This grant is important because it will help carry us through the summer and ea ...

Leonardo da Vinci, 500 years ago, thought humans could fly but found out it wasn’t so. His next option was to put Mona Lisa on canvas as a decent substitute for immortality. I don’t know if Juanelle Linenberger of Marble Falls can paint, but she can fly.
