Fall Arrives in Texas with Force!
For the last couple of weeks, I've been enjoying the cooler nights and warm days that are typical of November in Mason. We all knew it wouldn't last; but, I certainly didn't expect it to end with quite the finality that it did on Monday night.
The cloudy skies of the morning were soon joined with 20-30 mile per hour winds out of the north.
Democrats
Well, Praise God Almighty! I'm glad to know that there are not enough people in Texas buying into the Democrat's socialist agenda to get Beto elected. People are smart enough to know that they are better off today with Trump in office.
The Democrat's socialist/communist policies only resonate with people in times of crisis.
Super Easy Bread
courtesy: the Spruce
This is a loaf of bread that you can make up even if you’ve never tried to bake one! It’s very easy and straight forward and would be a good introduction to someone who’d like to try baking bread but is frightened off by the idea using yeast and doing any kneading.

The library always has something interesting that makes it worth stopping by. We have a new quilt in the Stribling Room that’s quite something—Margaret Persky’s grandmother Della Valliant Hofmann made this postage stamp beauty entirely by hand! Come see!

Over the years, I’ve made light of many of peta’s campaigns. It’s been a lot of fun, but my ridicule hasn’t made an appreciable difference in the organization’s approach to perceived animal wrongs. Or any difference, that I can tell. Which makes me wonder why people sometimes tell me I should leave peta alone, that they’re just trying to help animals as best they can.
Riding High…
Just as “puppy love” is real to the puppy, so also are “thrill rides.” And, whether on land or sea, let’s leave it to participants to decide if such rides deserve to have the “thrill” adjective in their names.
Recently, I climbed the stairs on a cruise ship--Carnival’s Vista--determined to pedal my way around what may be the most talked about new cruise ship attraction.
Upon arrival at the “launch point,” I peered downward, wondering if I needed a pace ...
