Boss Lion Michael Murphy gaveled the meeting to order at 12:30 pm at Nacho’s Café on lucky Tuesday August 13. Guests were Mike Raymond and Dee Blackwell. There is a scam going around involving Michael Murphy’s email. If you get an email from him requesting you to buy an electronic gift card to support flood relief, don’t do it! In charge of the program this week was Lion Treg Hudson who introduced Micah Walker who gave a program about oak wilt. Micah says there are some hot spots ...
It would seem that for the past few months there has only been one issue that the City has been dealing with, if you rely entirely on the comments in this paper and the conversations around town. If your non-profit group has a project that will benefit the majority of our community, and you have not received a grant from MCF in the last year, you can pick up and return a grant a ...
It has been party time at the Ceynowa house. We celebrated John’s birthday. Then we celebrated my birthday. And, we did an early celebration of our 50th anniversary. Lots of memories and old stories shared. We have enjoyed every moment but I am looking forward to quiet time and less sweets.

Red Flags When George Orwell’s novel, ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four,’ was published in 1949, it’s unlikely anyone thought it would actually come true, but a lot of it has. The pair’s plaque-filled walls in their homes are testimonies to their remarkable professional achievements. When they stepped up to the plate in retirement, however, their volunteer service to others provided them with the most satisfaction.
