Mason, What a wonderful county to live in!
My son Bill Elton and I, Johnnie Rossing, had moved to Mason in the late 1990's and never have regretted it. The last snowfall has reassured us we picked the right town to live in.
Both my son and I want to really thank all the people in this
county for their loving thoughtfulness during our bad storm.
Yes, we like all of us in town were without electricity which
caused a big problem for us as we are both on oxygen.
Mexican food is still one of my favorite foods. I could probably eat it every day. I have been known to eat enchiladas for breakfast. This is one of my family’s favorite recipes. This is the dish my kids used to request for their birthdays. I usually make it for Christmas every year and it is really a pretty simple recipe.
In the 1700s, Spaniards introduced a number of exotic animals to what is present day Texas and Mexico, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs. None of these animals were native to the Western hemisphere. When the settlers of northern European ancestry began moving into the Hill Country in the early to mid-1800s, they brought more of these animals with them, all things we now refer to as livestock.

March is here and hopefully spring is close. As I was driving around I saw green grass. The last several weeks it has been terrible, the worst winter storm in our lifetime. I just hope and pray that you are safe, have power, and water.
It’s time to think about outdoor activities.
