Filling for the 2018 Republican Primary began Saturday, November 11, 2017, and will continue through Monday, December 11, 2017, at 6:00 PM.
Information packets for those interested in running for an eligible county office may be picked up in the County Clerk’s Office or from Republican Party Chairman Wanda Rueffer. County offices that will be up for election in 2018 include: County Judge, County Commissioners Precincts 2 and 4, County Clerk, Justice of the Peace, and County Treasurer.

In the early 1900s, I became interested in my family genealogy and Czech heritage. While on a field trip with a bunch of antiquers, I found a creamer reasonably priced and marked “Made in Czechoslovakia.” Thus, the collection began. Since that Czechoslovakia has come out of the many years spent under communism and split into two countries now known as Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The first perfume bottle was a gift from my husband.
Last Saturday, the Mason Junior High Band sent 16 students to Burnet to try out for the All Region Band and 6 of them qualified with 2 being alternates.
I was really proud of the kids, they performed really well and it is a great accomplishment to have that many make the band.
Earlier this year, the Hickory UWCD entered into a contract with HydromodelHost to integrate the groundwater model developed by the Texas Water Development Board with real time data collected by the District. The project is finally complete and the “big reveal” will take place at the District Office at 111 East Main Street, Brady, TX on Thursday, November 16 at 2 p.m.
The regular meeting of the Mason Garden Club will be held onTuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Stribling Room of the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library.

The Brady Medical Clinic staff is coming to Mason this Friday, the 17th from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. over at the Mason radio station, 102.5 FM Lone Star, to administer drive thru flu shots!
This is the first year to bring these to Mason from Brady.
Here are the helpful hints: You have to be 18 and older, we do not file insurance while doing a remote clinic, if you have Medicare or Medicaid, there is no charge, everyone must have a photo ID.
Doris Grote has finished her memoirs! Doris has led an interesting life, among other things having traveled to eighteen countries, hunted rattlesnakes, and shot an elk, so her memoirs are sure to be entertaining. Cheri Glass edited the book, and Brad Glass was the technical advisor. They have gifted the Mason Co.
