Once again this week people came from all over to see the Eckert James River Bat Cave bats. I never cease to be amazed at the folks that come to visit. The 3.2 million Mexican free tail bats that are currently inhabiting the cave gave nightly emergences that inspired a feeling of peace.

Every week the City deals with a wide variety of tasks and situations, some of them are “big” in that they will impact the community for many years and some seem rather “small” that change only a very small part of our town. Last week we had a couple of challenges that represent that wide variety and may give you a better idea of the scope of City concerns.
