The Castell Area Wildlife Management Association will be hosting a pot luck meeting on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Trinity Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Castell, TX. Bridget Langdale became a Texas Master Naturalist in November of 2014. The TMN mission is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas.
Since Bridget’s graduation she has given over 500 hours to the state of Texas, equivalent to $11,500.
The Heart of Texas Country Music Association is sponsoring its annual bus tour to Branson, Missouri. The tour departs Brady and Llano on Sunday, April 30, and returns on Thursday, May 4.
While in Branson, the group will enjoy performances by Larry’s Country Diner, T. Graham Brown, Mickey Gilley & Johnny Lee, Buck Trent, Jimmy Fortune, Gene Watson and the Farewell Party Band, the Presley’s and The Statler Brothers Revisited.

Bridget Langdale, Master Naturalist and resident of Mason has announced that applications for this year’s Texas Master Naturalist Certification are open starting April 1. The class is limited to 40 trainees in the Hill Country Chapter. June 30 is the last date to submit an application. Classes begin on August 23 and graduation is on November 15.
Those who are interested may go to txmn.org/hillcountry to submit an application.

Mason Cowgirls Varsity took home a 7-5 victory over Junction on Tuesday.
Bridgit Herrington earned the win for Mason Cowgirls Varsity. She threw seven innings, surrendering five runs, seven hits, and striking out four. #18 took the loss for Junction. She tossed five innings, surrendering five runs, four hits, striking out eight, and walking one.
Mason Cowgirls Varsity had six hits in the game.
