The baseball season has come to a final close. With that, we have a few Puncher baseball players that received All District awards though out the year.

Mason began tournament play on June 2nd and 3rd in Burnet. Mason’s first round game was against Burnet who ended as tournament champions. Burnet jumped out to an early lead and the Punchers were not able to recover. Returning Saturday Mason showed up determined. They beat Hamilton (25-2), Brady (16-4) and Llano (10-8) for a rematch with Burnet and an opportunity to play in the championship game.
Free summer meals at Mason ISD Cafeteria. May 30-Jun 2nd, Jun 5-8, Jun 12-15 and Jun 19-22. Breakfast served from 7:15 am - 8 am. Lunch served from 1100 am - 12 pm.
This is free for all children aged 18 years and younger. The child does not have to attend Mason schools.
This year's camp is July 31 - August 2.
3rd - 5th Grade is from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
6th - 9th Grade is from 10:30 a.m. - Noon.
Cost is $15.

The Puncher baseball team competed in a 2 out of 3 game series versus the Riviera Seahawks for the Area Championship.
Game #1: Friday was a long day for Mason Punchers, as it fell to Kaufer 11-4. Mason Punchers took an early lead in the first inning. Riley Pape drove in one when he doubled in the first inning.
The Mason High School Pioneers, including Brooke Wheelock, Chet Weitz, Ethan Powell, Raegan Glentz, Sloan Townsend, and their teacher, Megan Bierschwale, are in the process of implementing a beneficial water conservation system to help our school, community, and aquifer.
Our mission is to harvest rainwater in a large storage tank, which would be located near the junior high gym.
Mason Young Life is having its 6th Annual Car Wash to help send kids to camp.
The car wash will be on Saturday May 13th, 10am-2pm, on the south side of the square. Please bring your cars, trucks, or even your dog and we’ll give them a good cleaning.
The car wash is by donation only to help send 24 Mason high school students to Crooked Creek, a Young Life camp in Fraser, CO.
Mason Cowgirls Varsity Drops Game To Ozona After Late Score
Monday’s tie breaker game against Ozona was a heartbreaker for Mason Cowgirls Varsity, as they lost the lead late in a 6-4 defeat. The game was tied at three with Ozona batting in the bottom of the fifth when there was an error, scoring one run.
Jesse Armstrong took the loss for Mason Cowgirls Varsity.

]On April 19, 2017, Mason High School with its play production of scenes from Blithe Spirit was named Second Runner-Up at the State UIL One-Act Play contest held in Bastrop. Jackson Chapman was awarded All-Star cast while Steeley Smith was named Honorable Mention Cast. This marked the school’s fifth consecutive State appearance and the fifth consecutive top-three finishes with three gold, one silver and one bronze.
