My submariner daughter emailed me recently, and among all of the exciting updates (including the fact that she achieved the submarine qualification she was working toward), she mentioned how she has been struggling with “just not feeling myself.” She told me about sleeping 2.5 hours within the last 24. Being in close quarters in a submarine underway means no sunlight, no fresh air and limited opportunity for exercise.
I am an affected person. This is TCEQ’s language. If there is nothing wrong with discharging treated sewage into the Blanco River, why are those who live/drink/swim within one mile of the treatment plant’s discharge point called effected by the agency that issues the permit? There must be a reason.

Chili is often referred to as a Mexican dish. However, Mexican culture denies connections with it. Jesus regularly included in His teaching these words, “If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” Is it possible that people might be physically able to hear, but spiritually or emotionally unable to hear or to comprehend the Word of God...or even the voice of truth, kindness, and love from those who surround them?
This inability to hear seems to have surfaced recently in our country.
