The annual Powder Puff Football Game was held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Panther Stadium. The game is sponsored by Project Graduation.
The senior girls, coached by senior boys, play the junior girls (plus two sophomores), coached by junior boys.

The Panther basketball team played their season opener at the BHS gym Tuesday, Nov. 19, taking a 68-63 win over the Canyon Lake Hawks.
Both teams shot well in the first quarter with Blanco leading 24-20 at the end of the quarter. The Panthers continued the scoring pace adding another 19 in the second, and holding the Hawks to 11.
The Lady Panther basketball team faced two tough opponents in their first games of the season. The Panthers lost to the Geneva School of Boerne Eagles, 33-19, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and fell to the Canyon Lake Lady Hawks, 55-40, on Saturday, Nov. 23.
In the game against Boerne Geneva, the Eagles built a 10 point lead by halftime, 22-12.
Sidney Paul DuBose passed away in his sleep on October 15, 2019 at age 89. He was a lover of life.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 6, 1930 to Sidney Isaac DuBose and Essie Sarah DuBose née Paul. He was raised by his father, his step mother, Blanche DuBose, as well as his grandmothers, aunts and uncles after his mother’s early death.
