Lone Star Capital Bank, N.A. (“LSCB”), headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, has entered into a purchase and assumption agreement for substantially all of the assets, deposits, and certain other liabilities of Business Bank of Texas, N.A. Echo Gallery in Johnson City, TX, announces a nationwide call for artist entries for The Breast Show II, a physical and virtual exhibition set for the month of August (2021), which is the month breastfeeding is celebrated worldwide. This exhibit will build on the effort of the first Breast Show in August 2018 to depoliticize the female breast and the act of breastfeeding in the US.

The Johnson City Library has added a new Makerspace to their list of services offered. The Makerspace provides hands-on experience to encourage creativity through designing, building, and inventing for a wide range of ages. This Makerspace contains the new and trendy Cricut Maker, along with a sewing machine and a 3D printer coming soon.
‘Tis the season to spread cheer and light up the Hill Country! Go all out decorating your home and enter our Home Holiday Lights Contest. Submit photos of your lights display Nov. 27-Dec. 11 for your chance to win up to $500 — and bragging rights! PEC has eight district offices located throughout our service territory.

Even in the midst of the current health issues, the Blanco County Community Choir will continue the tradition of presenting Christmas concerts for the community in both Johnson City and Blanco.  Both concerts will be shorter than usual and presented outdoors.  In Johnson City on Friday, December 4 at 6:00, the choir will sing on the south steps of the Blanco County Courthouse.  Audience members can drive up and listen from their cars or bring their own chairs.  On Sunday, December 6 at 6: ...
