Having the distinction of being the oldest privately-owned pharmacy its Texas this business has not only survived but thrived through the decades of growth and change on the historic Blanco Square.
Pat’s Hall in Fredericksburg was not an easy place to find. It was off the beaten path, hidden away on the edge of town, down a narrow winding road and across the creek.
But country music fans from all over the Hill Country managed to find it every Saturday night. Pat’s Hall was a hub of weekend entertainment and a showcase for aspiring country music artists for 30 years.
Pat’s Hall was different from the traditional wooden dance halls in Luckenbach, Hye, Albert and Sisterdale.
Report details progress in school safety
AUSTIN—The Texas School Safety Update, a report highlighting progress made to keep students and teachers safe at school, was released by Gov. Greg Abbott on Aug. 27.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a Multi-County Wildlife Field Day on Tuesday, September 17 at Heart of Texas Whitetails, at 755 Private Road 922 in Brady.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. with the program to follow from 9 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
