The Hill Country 100 Club, a non-profit organization which provides financial support to the families of fallen 1st responders (Police, Fire, EMS) in Burnet, Llano, Blanco and Lampasas Counties, is announcing its annual scholarship awards program to high school students within the region who are wanting to pursue a career in any of the listed 1st responder fields.

Beginning March 31, the Texas Rangers Heritage Center will host its second annual Celebrate Texas event on their grounds at 1618 East Main Street in Fredericksburg.
The center, which hosted its grand opening a year ago, is an ongoing project of the Former Texas Rangers Association (FTRA). The FTRA was formed in 1897 to preserve the history of Texas’ legendary and elite law enforcement group, the Texas Rangers.

The Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center announces the spring schedule for its “Be Well with Diabetes” seminars for individuals with diabetes and their caregivers.
“If you have diabetes, taking extra care of yourself is so important,” said Thornton. “Educating yourself through these seminars and managing your specific health needs are your best defenses.”
