Following the 97th Annual Convention of The American Legion, Department of Texas held recently at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Beaumont, Texas, Harvey H. Klee, was appointed Department Chaplain 2015-2016 by the incoming Department Commander, John McKinny. Chaplain Klee is a member of Frank Griggs American Legion Post 370 in Llano, Texas where he holds the position of Judge Advocate, Post S.A.L.
At the regularly called meeting of the City of Llano City Council held Monday, August 3, Council unanimously approved setting the proposed tax rate for the coming fiscal year at .43 cents per $100 assessed value of property.
The rate, which is about three cents higher then the current rate, would raise approximately $647,464 in tax revenue for the City.

On August 2, 2015, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Officers with the Llano Police Department executed a search warrant at 1207 West Haynie St. in the City of Llano.
The search warrant was obtained after an on-going investigation into a string of recent burglaries that occurred in the City. The search turned up numerous stolen items, primarily consisting of jewelry, coins, and tools.
