When Funerals Come in Threes.... In a small town, just one funeral can be an emotional experience. For the family, for friends, for neighbors... When someone dies in a small town, a large percentage of the population will have known them well. I suppose that's why this week is a difficult one for so many in our town.

It definitely would not make the teachers carrying weapons safer. When law enforcement arrives to ‘contain the threat’ how are they supposed to know the difference between a pistol-packing teacher and an armed and dangerous person?

Whut? Being as how I’m an Old Fogey, I don’t try to keep up with social media like the young folks do. I have no idea what the newest craze is these days, whether it’s InstaChat or SnapGram or what. Buenos dias, Senorita. Buenos dias, Senor. Como esta usted? Muy bien, gracias. Y usted? Bien, gracias. Adios. That was the first Spanish we non-Mexican kids learned. Back in the second grade. As does any language. Two, four, six, eight. Who do we appreciate? Language. Poe ...
