The rain has been wonderful. The mold has been messing with my sinuses. I hear this from others in the community also. I don’t remember having allergies when I was young. I think this is another of those “old people” things that I am discovering. The Board of Regents of the UT system named Dr.

ger/opinion - vaping Learning Addictive Behavior... On Monday, at the Mason High School regular Monday assembly, there was a special presentation. Ingredients: 2 ½ cups warm water 6 tablespoons sugar 3 tablesp ...

Old Harry’s Kitchen Advice… The late Harry Truman, whom we always regarded as “unbridled” until here lately, advised folks affected adversely by the heat to stay out of the kitchen. Well, I wasn’t listening, and/or failed to take notes. I find myself in the kitchen more often in later years, for reasons others of a certain age may understand. My wife and I implement a simple to-each-his-own system for many meals.

Beef. It’s what’s for dinner. Or supper. Or lunch. Maybe even breakfast. Where’s the beef? All over town. Beef. From Old French “boef.” According to trusty Webster. Beef is a full-grown ox, cow, bull, or steer. Especially one bred and fattened for meat. One can also beef up a football team. Go Punchers! Or have a beef with somebody. That’s no fun. Have some beef tea instead. Supposed to be good for you. Then there’s beefcake. Which has nothi ...
