The dark winter sky seemed to press down on us, threatening snow, stiffening our fingers and invading our lungs with every breath. We’d been walking for a couple of hours, and night wasn’t far off. The days are clear,
Day after day,
When April’s here,
That leads to May,
And June
Must follow soon:
Stay, June, stay! -
If only we could stop the moon
And June!

Then your clothes.
But less is more.
The hotter it gets---
Less is better.
Such as haiku.
So much can be said with so little words.

Flit in a field of sunlight
That is all
