The Castell Area Wildlife Management Association will be hosting a pot luck meeting on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Trinity Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Castell, TX. The CA WMA invites anyone to attend who is interested in meeting their neighbors and fellow hunters as well as anyone interested in wildlife management practices.
Mason citizens will vote soon in a local general election for candidates to serve on the city council. A forum has been planned to allow the candidates to express their views so the community can understand their positions and make informed voting choices.
This forum will be held on Thursday, April 12th, 7:00 PM at the Eckert Center.
Mason, TEXAS – April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Bluebonnet CASA is raising awareness about child abuse and neglect and the need for more dedicated members of the community to step up and become CASA volunteers.
When a child is placed in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect, they are often removed from their home and placed in state care – sometimes far away from their family, loved ones and community.

The City of Mason will be holding a County Wide Tire Clean-Up scheduled to begin on Monday, April 9, 2018, and continue through Friday, April 13, 2018.
The cost per regular vehicle sized tires and smaller tires will be $2 per tire. Truck and tractor tires or anything larger than a standard vehicle tire will cost $5 per tire.
All tires can be dropped off during the hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday at the City of Mason Recycling Center at 510 N.
The Mason Square Museum is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a high school graduating senior this year. A General Scholarship application from Mason High School should be completed and submitted along with an essay on one of these topics: Fort Mason, Herman and Willie Lehmann and their connection with Mason, or Geology in Mason County.

Our first event in this journey was a Star Party held at our teacher Mrs. Bierschwale’s home 6 miles from Mason.
