The Mason 42 Club will meet at the Mason County Library on Wednesday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Come one, come all.
Denay Baxter became the bride of Wade Skaggs on June 27th, at Selah Spring in Brady, Texas. An outdoor ceremony was performed at Selah Springs ranch. Bill Mary officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Don and Deborah Baxter of Mason. She is the granddaughter of Nathaniel and Wanda Jordan of Art and the Late Bud and Polly Baxter. The groom is the son of Race and Jill Skaggs of Stockdale and the late Mr.
GREAT FAMILY COMPANION!!! BUDDY - 1 Year Old Male -Mix Breed Sweet, loving and playful! Buddy is just a great all around family dog. He is housebroken and crate trained. Buddy loves to play with other dogs and has done well with his foster cats. He is an energetic boy that would do well in a home with another dog for him to play with, or a home where he will be given a big backyard and plenty of exercise.
A few weeks ago the congregation of Art UMC was saddened to learn that its Pastor, the Rev. John Alsbrooks, will be retiring effective June 30, 2016. Rev. Alsbrooks has been a Minister of the United Methodist Church for 23 years, but has only been Art’s Pastor for two years.
Thom Canfield, President of Mason Bank, is proud to announce new employees and promotions. Jennie Armes has been with the bank since 2002. She is a 2002 graduate of Angelo State University with a degree in Finance with Real Estate. In addition to her role as teller and Compliance Officer Jennie has now assumed the role of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer.

The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Hill Country Criminal Defense Lawyers Association invite Mason County residents to a special event on Friday, July 1st at 1:30 p.m. on the north steps of the Mason County Courthouse. Just as they did last year, there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps.

If you have diabetes, are predisposed to diabetes, take care of someone with diabetes, or are just interested in knowing about diabetes, please join us this summer!
Those wishing to enter the Dr Pepper Open Tennis Tournament need to get their entries in as soon as possible. The tournament will be July 14-16 for Juniors and July 16-17 for Adults. The entry deadline is Tuesday, July 5th. You may go online and enter the tournament at www.masontennisassociation.com or mail entries to Mason Tennis at PO Box 865, Mason 76856.
Pari-mutuel horse racing returns to Fredericksburg this weekend, with two days of live racing at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3. Admission to the races is $7 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 years of age, and free for children 5 and under.
