Micah Walker, County Extension Agent for Mason County has announced the deadline to purchase validation tags for Steers and Heifers going to major shows. Validation tags for sheep/goats or swine for State Fair also need to be ordered. The deadline to order is Tuesday, April 16 and each tag costs $15.00.
Republican Women Home Tour (Week 1) The Mason County Republican Women’s 33rd Annual Home Tour will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 10 am to 5 pm. This home tour is a fundraiser which provides two scholarships...one for a college bound and one for a trade school bound graduating senior.
Family Life Center, Methodist Church FREE ADMISSION: Come and join us for the Llano Master Gardeners annual Lawn and Garden Show at the Family Life Center at 800 Wright Street, just a block west of the courthouse, We will open at 9 AM with breakfast tacos, yummy cinnamon rolls and muffins along with tea, coffee and water.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea Bray has joined the Frontera Healthcare organization and will be providing Pediatric care to patients in our Mason Clinic starting April 8th. Dr. Bray has practiced General Pediatrics in Fredericksburg since 2005 and practiced in Dallas for four years prior to that. She graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Genetics and attended Medical School at UT Southwestern.
The annual Book and Bake Sale is the primary fundraiser for the Friends of the Library and it starts Saturday, April 6th. An extended special preview opportunity and sale for members of Friends of the Library will be held Friday, April 5th from 12:00 - 6:00. The sale will continue on Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 - 4:00.
Area high school students will develop leadership skills and learn about the Constitution as Mason County Farm Bureau invites them to apply for the annual Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Youth Leadership Conference (YLC). Students who attend YLC engage in patriotism, free enterprise and leadership opportunities, Shannon Worrell, Mason County Farm Bureau president, said. “We encourage our youth to take advantage of these opportunities to learn how our U.S.
Spring in Texas struck again. We have had so many pretty, warm days. Then a little cold spell came through. Although this happens annually, we always seemed surprised and upset by the cool weather. I don’t start cleaning up my yard until the oak blooms fall. It is hard enough to breath in the house, but out in the yard where every step makes a green cloud rise, I am not ready for the sneezing.
Come to the square on Palm Sunday, April 14th and bring your appetite! The Annual Hamburger Picnic will be held on the west side of the square under the awning of the Odeon Theater on Palm Sunday from 11-1. In addition to delicious hamburgers hot off the grill, guests will enjoy a bag of chips and an ice cold soda for just $7.
Mason, Texas- Calling All Music Lovers- The Fourth Annual Mason Chamber Music Festival will take place April 4th -7th and is sure to be the gem of the weekend’s festivities in Mason, Texas. Bruce Williams, Artistic Director for the Mason Chamber Music Festival spent the day Monday on a press junket to promote this weekend’s events in Mason.
The Mason County Chamber of Commerce challenges all Mason residents and visitors to a Golden Egg Hunt this year! Please join the fun by using sleuthing skills to solve each riddle for a chance to win money! Three gold eggs were hidden inside Mason’s city limits at public venues and are worth $100 each.
