The Mason County Republican Women will hold their bimonthly luncheon on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019, at 11:30 am in the Stribling Room at the Mason Library.
Members and guests will gather at 11:30 am for meet and greet with the luncheon starting promptly at noon.
Our distinguished speaker is Joel Timms, Texas Ranger.
Folks at the Odeon theater in Mason have put together a lineup of entertainment for 2019 that will please music lovers of many genres.
On February 16, the Odeon will host Carson Mchone who ROLLING STONE magazine lists as one of the 10 Artist You Should Know. McHone is a rare Austin musician native, who first hit the barroom stages of her hometown at 16 years old.
Country Superstar T. Graham Brown will headline the Llano Country Opry on Saturday, January 12, at the Lantex Theater in downtown Llano, Texas. Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the Kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa. He will feature traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the Kora’s musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions.
The performance will take place at the Mason Co.

Brenda Kothmann will give a “Flower Designs” program for the January meeting of the Mason Garden Club.
The Mason Garden Club will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Stribling Room of the Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Brenda Kothmann, owner of The Petal Patch, will give a program on “Flower Designs” Brenda will demonstrate several of her wonderful flower designs techniques.

To begin 2019, the Heart of Texas Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will host a guest speaker who is one of “Brady’s Own”. Craig Steffens is a graduate of Brady High School as well as Texas A & M University and has recently retired from 30 year’s work with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).
