River of Life Church will be holding their 12th Annual Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 31st from 5 - 8pm. There will be free food, a variety of fun games, Cake Walk, Giant Inflatable Slide, Bouncy Castle, Laser Tag, Prize Booth and of course plenty of candy! Once again this year we will have our Photo Booth, get a photo taken of your family and you will receive a free 5 x 7 picture.
Old age is not for the faint of heart! Varicose veins, saggy skin, wrinkles, bulges where flesh was once firm (as memory serves). And that’s just the superficial: most of us have paid for multiple doctors’ world cruises or orthodontics for their entire families! Why the gloom and doom? Because sometimes when I look in the mirror I scare myself!
The Mason HS Band will attend the Concho Classic Marching Festival in San Angelo on October 6th.
The Festival includes many 1A, 2A, and 3A bands from around the area. Mason is slotted to perform at 1:20 p.m. The contest is held at San Angelo Stadium and admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and 8 years old and under are free.
Every week the band has learned a bit more of the show and this Saturday will be our first time to perform the show in its entirety publicly.
The Castell Area Wildlife Management Association will be meeting on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Castell, TX. Chris Mostyn, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), will provide the white-tail deer harvest recommendations for the WMA.
Members are encouraged to attend whether one leases for hunting or just harvests for personal use.
