On Thursday night, Aug. 11th, the American Legion Fort Mason Post 285 & Auxiliary were thrilled to meet with our Texas Boys State and Bluebonnet Girls State attendees who did such an excellent job representing Mason, Mason ISD, the American Legion & Auxiliary and their families this summer.
All the attendees gave a full report on their individual activities and also gave high praise to the Boys State & Girls State programs.
City Still Seeking Answers to Conflict of Interest Questions
Monday night's regularly scheduled City Commission meeting continued the effort to clarify and put to rest any conflict of interest questions concerning the use of an engineering firm owned by Mayor Brent Hinckley's son.
The meeting began with Mayor Hinckley recusing himself from the discussion and Mayor Pro Tem, William Beaty, taking over the conducting of the proceedings.

Last week Mason County News published the School Supply List for Mason Elementary and Mason Junior High.

I found this recipe in the San Angelo Standard Times from 1963. It was submitted to the “Angelo Woman’s Concho Cookery Cooking contest”. My mother never threw anything away, especially recipes. (Gee, I wondered where I got that from.)
