Last week, a reader stopped by to mention to me that there has now been a second incidence in Mason County of a resident developing Chagas disease due to bite and infection from kissing bugs. The other person had their experience last fall, and this second victim had their run-in at the beginning of summer. The time Jane spent with chimps in the jungle advanced human understanding of primates more than just about anything else has.
