For years oceanographer Tony Amos kept a close eye on a 7.344-mile stretch of Mustang Island on the Texas coast.
His prime area of concern was the man-made debris that washes up on the beach and how it affects the wildlife and the environment. In a long ago article in Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine, Amos shared some of his findings.
The Ceynowa household is attempting to clean out tons of papers and stuff. I tend to get bogged down in looking at old letters and cards. I spent Saturday afternoon reading a bag full of letters and cards from the seventies. I cried a bit and laughed some. I did manage to get rid to two bags of discards.

Our household is slowly returning to normal. John came home from the Rehabilitation Hospital on Friday. It is nice not to drive to San Antonio every other day. He is doing well but still has to regain strength.
Remember to bring two dozen cookies on February 6 for Teacher Appreciation Day on Monday.
“You can't tell a book by its cover.”
As an avid reader, I have long known that to be true. The intriguing summary of contents, the lavish praise of reviewers, the author's other popular writings– all may entice me to read a particular book. However, I often find myself disappointed that what I expected to read and what I actually read were not the same.
On the other hand, as an author of five books, I have discovered that you can sell a book by its cover.
