The Dr Pepper / Babolat Open Tennis Tournament was held here in Mason over the July 14-17 weekend. Once again the tournament attracted many excellent players from across the state. The Jr tournament was held on Thursday/Friday with many of our Mason players performing well and taking home trophies that were donated by Dr Pepper.
Tennis Outlet of Lubbock was able to acquire the sponsorship of Babolat who provided tennis balls for the tournament.
It’s that time again! The first day of school is Monday, August 22nd! Parents of Mason High School students should receive a packet in the mail during the first week of August, which includes high school registration information and necessary forms to be completed and returned to school on the day of registration.
This year we will host a Fundamental basketball camp for 3rd through 8th graders & a High School camp for Freshmen through Seniors in August. The Fundamental camp will be Aug. 1st--4th & will be from 1pm to 4pm. The cost for the Fundamental will be $50 per camper.

It's that time of year again for our annual Mason Puncher football camp.
Registration for the camp will be on the 25th in the high school gym at 8:30 a.m. (for grades 3-5) and 10:00 a.m. (for grades 6-9). Bring cleats if you have them.

3rd - 5th grade: 9:00 - 10:30
6th - 9th grade: 10:30 - 12:00
The Fredericksburg Minor Little League Softball Allstars team took home the District 26 championship Wednesday night, in Fredericksburg, with awin over Blanco 13-3.
The girls played really well going undefeated throughout the tournament with wins over Burnet 11-3, Kerrville 22-4, and Blanco 13-2.

During the week of June 12th to June 18th, Kendra Klaerner, Steeley Smith and Justyn Tedder represented Mason, Mason County and Mason ISD at the 2016 American Legion Auxiliary’s 2016 Bluebonnet Girls State Program, held at Texas Lutheran University at Seguin. Their attendance was sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Fort Mason Unit 285 here in Mason and their fees were underwritten by the generous donations of J.K.
Those wishing to enter the Dr Pepper Open Tennis Tournament need to get their entries in as soon as possible. The tournament will be July 14-16 for Juniors and July 16-17 for Adults. Blixen Hofmann and Faith Ingracia competed at the NBTA State Competition in San Antonio. Blixen did an amazing job by placing 3rd in her State Solo routine, this being Blixen’s very first Competition. Great job!
Faith Ingracia placed 4th in the Miss Majorette of Texas Pageant, 3rd in Fancy X-Strut, 4th in State Solo and 1st in Two Baton.
In May, Faith also competed at State UIL receiving a Division One, for the fourth year in a row, in her UIL Routine.
