We are excited to share that the Hill Country Youth Commercial Heifer Show and Sale is currently entering its fifth year of existence. It all started with a group of passionate ranchers who believed in facilitating an opportunity for youth to acquire knowledge of life in the commercial beef industry.
This project is one that is undoubtedly most practical in terms of its goals.
The Puncher winning streak for 2017 came to an end at the Alamodome on Friday night with a defeat to the Refugio Bobcats, 38-14.
The Punchers came out strong in the first quarter, and a 41-yard touchdown run by Otto Wofford late in the period put the Mason team in the lead early.

During Friday night's matchup with the Yorktown Wildcats, the Punchers once again continued their season-long streak of holding opponents to 7 points of less. For the first time in the 2017 football season, the Punchers had a game that had only one score all night long. It took the tough defense of the Shiner Comanches to set up just such a game last Friday, and it was a good warm-up for the teams still ahead of Mason in the 2017 playoffs.
With the strong defensive games from both teams, there was relatively low yardage for the night.
