Opening the Fredericksburg Music Club’s 2017-2018 concert season, Daniel Hsu of the United States, Bronze Medalist earlier this year in Ft. Worth at the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will perform here Sunday afternoon, Sept. 17, in the sanctuary of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 1800 North Llano Street. The 3 p.m.
The third weekend in September, on September 16th and 17th, 2017, Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site will hold its annual Seed Stomp from 10:30AM – 12:00PM. Join us at the Visitor Center to celebrate Mrs. Johnson’s legacy of beautifying America. Participants will be provide native seed and will ‘stomp’ the seeds into designated areas to help to reseed the area with beautiful wildflowers for generations to come.
Hill Country Astronomers (HCA) will meet at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, September 5, in the H-E-B Community Activity Center at Hill Country University Center in Fredericksburg. Travelling to the stars has been in the public’s imagination for decades. What will it take to do that? HCA member Steuart Dewar will talk about the difficulties of interstellar travel together with an update on where we presently stand on turning that into a reality.
Blanco County Community Choir announces rehearsals for the annual Christmas concerts. Rehearsals are 4pm-6pm at First Baptist Church in Blanco starting Sunday, September 10. The concerts will be Friday, December 1 at Community Church of the Hills in Johnson City and Sunday, December 3 at First Baptist in Blanco. The choir always welcomes new singers.
