Early Voting for the November 3, 2015 Constitutional Amendment Election starts Monday, October 19 – Friday, October 30 at all three Llano County Early Voting Locations. Main Location: Llano County Library, 102 E. Haynie, Llano – Hours 8:00 – 4:30 Monday through Friday, with the following exceptions: October 19, 2015 7:00 A.M.
It all began 80 years ago in a dusty arena on the outskirts of Llano, a sport that grew out of the cattle industry in the American West. A sport that has Llano written all over it, names like 8-time world champion team roper, Rich Skelton and no Professional Cowboy has qualified for more National Finals Rodeos and National Finals Steer Ropings than Tee Woman.
The Kerr County members will be hosting the October meeting. All ladies that are interested in joining are welcome to attend! They will be meeting October 20. The Social will begin at 10:00 am; the meeting will begin at 10:30 am with guest speaker and meal to follow. The group will meet at Buzzie’s Bar B Que, located at 213 Schreiner St, Kerrville.

Kim Roberti, an accomplished artist, will be presenting a demonstration on figures in oil at the Llano Fine Arts Studio on October 5 at 10:00 a.m. The Studio is located at 503 Bessemer Avenue (just north of the Inks Bridge).  The public is invited to attend.  A potluck lunch will be served afterward.  The LFAG is a non-profit organization; therefore a $5.00 donation will cover the demo and potluck luncheon. Kim claims painting has become her life.
The Llano Master Gardeners are honored to have Lisa Wittlesey as a speaker for their meeting on Thursday, September 17 at the Llano Library at 5:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. She will be speaking about the international Junior Master Gardener programs in Korea and will give an update on an exciting new curricula and project showing how JMG is positively impacting children’s health.
The St. John Lutheran Community Association of Crabapple will hold its Annual Homecoming Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the church in Crabapple (in Gillespie County 12 miles north of Fredericksburg on Lower Crabapple Road). “Hill Country Sheep and Goat Organization” is the newly proposed name for “The Hill Country Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary to the Texas Sheep and Goat Raiser’s Association”. The name change has become necessary because there are and they welcome men as members, and the name is much too lengthy for bank accounts, addresses and web sites.
