Central Texas, Llano in particular, is becoming more of a destination for travelers throughout the United States and many from other countries.

The Rock’N Riverfest held Saturday, July 6 was a complete success. It is estimated that over 1,000 people attended the event held at Badu Park on the shores of the Llano River. It was good to see so many families celebrating our nation’s independence. There were 35 jet skiers that competed in the jet ski races.
‘Texas Ready’ Call is Issued The Texas Department of State Health Services on July 8 urged Texans to get “Texas Ready” for natural and manmade disasters by being informed, making a plan and building a disaster preparation kit that contains what a household needs to survive for at least three days. “Texas has more declared disasters than any other state, so we all have to be Texas Ready at all times,” said Dr.
