We are less than two weeks away for the Ladies in Leather Motorcycle Rally and Parade that will roar down Ford Street, turn on Main, and head to the arena on September 14. Last year’s parade had over 500 women in it and they are looking to double that amount this year.
Texas Country Music Hall of Famer Johnny Rodriguez will headline two Llano Country Opry Shows on Saturday, September 14, at the Lantex Theater in downtown Llano. Experiencing the Death of a Veteran?
The death of anyone is a tragic occurrence for their loved ones. The death of a Veteran presents challenges that need to be prepared for in advance. The most important document a Veteran has is their one-page DD 214 Form. Veterans who served in WWII and separated from the service prior to January 1, 1950 will have a “Separation Document” Surviving spouses must have a copy of the DD 214 or the Separation Document at the time of the Veterans death to receive VA death benefits.
The Llano County Bulk Collection Event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at the East Llano County Annex located at 8347 RR 1431 (1431 and 29—Fuzzy’s Corner). Cover crops—let’s have a closer look at when, why and what to plant. Definition: A cover crop is a crop of a specific plant that is grown primarily for the benefit of soil other than crop yield. Faith McRee, senior at Marble Falls High School, had an outstanding academic summer. First, she represented MFISD by attending the National Student Leadership Conference. She chose the Forensic Science Program, which was held in Washington, D.C., June 14-22. The Boys and Girls Club in Llano opened on Monday, August 19. Highland Lakes Executive Director Bill Drake and Llano Unit Director Angelyn Drake were geared up and ready for the children as they arrived.   The dream of a club in Llano began last May with a gift of $35,000 from HOPE Haus. A board was formed which is headed by Rob Wilson, of Llano.
