A search warrant executed by the Llano County Sheriff’s Office and Sunrise Beach Police Department on October 2 resulted in the arrest of a man in Sunrise Beach.
Dana Joerns, 46, was arrested at 805 Circle Drive in Sunrise Beach, after officers found 3 and a half ounces of LSD and a firearm.
Joerns was arrested and taken to the Llano County Jail where he remains.
He was charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, $50,000 bond, felon in possession of a Firearm, $1 ...

On Monday, August 31, 2015, Judge Evan Stubbs sentenced Michael Grogg to 50 years in prison after Grogg pled guilty to the murder of his 19 month old step-son. Grogg, who is 27 years old, was not the victim’s biological father but his name appears on the child’s birth certificate.
The child, Paydin Grogg, was admitted to the hospital on July 25, 2013 and passed away on July 28, 2013, when the decision was made to discontinue life support.

These are exciting times at Colorado Bend State Park! After two years of planning and hard work the Tinaja Trail is open. The unique feature of the Tinaja itself is impressive – as are the vistas, native plants, and bird life along the trail. The overlook deck on the Tie Slide Trail has also been completed.

“Participants can choose to attend one or all of the presentations,” said Sam Silvers, AgriLife Extension agent in Kimble County.
In mid-September, Hill Country Memorial will open a convenient care center called Go Clinic at 1031 S. State Hwy. 16 across from the hospital.
The new Go Clinic will offer quick and convenient care without a trip to the emergency room. The clinic will provide non-emergent care for a variety of conditions, including colds and flu, allergies and asthma, fever, minor work and sports injuries, skin problems, insect stings and general illnesses.
