Some say the electric feeling of buying and moving into your own home never wears off. When you own the floors you’re standing on, the walls surrounding you and the roof over your head, you also own great satisfaction from the hard work that resulted in your home becoming yours. Yet, just as it was hard work to achieve the American Dream of homeownership, being responsible for maintaining and, inevitably, repairing your own home can be just as much hard work.
MARBLE FALLS—Tragedy struck the annual LakeFest Drag Boat races, August 9, when Mike Fry, a talented veteran of this sport, crashed on Lake Marble Falls in his Top Alcohol Hydro boat. Details have been sparse, as friends and officials mourn his passing. Fry, of California, and in a boat called Meanstreak, left the starting line around 10:30 Sunday morning.
International best-selling author, Tom Youngholm will be in Llano, Texas Sept. 19-20 to kick off his book tour for his new book, Mastering the Art of Balance: A Practical Guide to Living Authentically. Featured on multiple national news programs such as MSNBC, NPR, and KPBS and a lecturer at the Deepak Chopra and Omega centers, Youngholm is this century's leader in self- realization.

Klee, was appointed Department Chaplain 2015-2016 by the incoming Department Commander, John McKinny. Chaplain Klee is a member of Frank Griggs American Legion Post 370 in Llano, Texas where he holds the position of Judge Advocate, Post S.A.L.
All members of Central Texas Electric Co-op are encouraged to make plans to attend their annual membership meeting on Tuesday, August 18th, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Fredericksburg High School Auditorium on Hwy 16 South in Fredericksburg, Texas.
