Ready or not, we are in a new decade. I thought how much has changed in my life in the last ten years. I retired 10 years ago. I tried my hand at remodeling our home about that time. Just finished the last room a few months ago. I gained a grandson in law and a great grandson.

The 2020 Mason County Livestock Show & Expo is this week! Head out to the Fort Mason Park Community Building this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4 and show your support for Mason’s hard-working youth participating in this year’s show.
The stock show will feature cattle, swine, sheep and goats as well as the Food and Nutrition Show, the Eldon Kothmann Memorial Ag Mechanics Show and the Fastest Torch in Mason County competition.

This year the Mason County Stock show will be dedicated to two very special people that have made a powerful impact on more people in this barn than can be mentioned. Our Honorees this year are Jay Lee and Beverly Marek. This honor does not nearly encompass all they have done for this show or for the many generations of Mason ag students that they influenced.
High school students in the Central Texas Electric Cooperative service area can now submit an essay to be one of three winners for the 2020 Government-in-Action Youth Tour, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., June 17-26.
Essays must be turned in by January 24th for this opportunity that truly is the trip of a lifetime.
