Sunday was a busy day at the Art United Methodist Church. It was communion Sunday, followed by a covered dish lunch. Then there was a memorial service for Lynn Sikora. Jack Sikora is on his way home to Connecticut.
Cajun Shrimp Tacos
Family and friends will devour these Cajun Shrimp Tacos. The Dijon Mustard and Old Bay Seasoning give these tacos a real “Cajun kick!!” This is one of my favorite summer dishes.

Asking folks to stop and think seems pointless these days. Most won’t.
A while back, I stopped momentarily when an overheard conversational snippet made me smile. Someone said, “Too much is being said these days far too often about far too little.”
Maybe closer examination of the statement is warranted.
I’ve spent over half of my life, “Organizing and Prioritizing.” Only to find things changing or having to redo! Maybe, I should have been Prioritizing and then Organizing? I make a grocery list in the order where I enter the store, only to find everything has been moved around. I often find that the items on my list are no longer on the shelves.

Incomprehensibility
As Will Rogers once said, we shouldn’t complain about what our government costs – that level of entertainment doesn’t come cheap. Federal and state representatives often provided Rogers with some of his best material, and they’ve become some of my favorite sources, also.
Hank Johnson, for example, still makes me smile every time I think about the statement he made over his concern that too many people would make the island of Guam capsize.
I like it when someone I know has already read a book that I’m thinking of reading—that way he or she can tell me if it’s good before I invest any time in it. We now have a way that you can rate books and write a brief review of the books, movies, and books on CD that you’ve checked out or downloaded.
The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, April 26th, for its regular weekly meeting. There were 41 members and three guests in attendance.
