FREE ODEON FILM - JANUARY 13 - BARD OF THE BACKCOUNTRY
The ODEON THEATER will be offering a free documentary film on Wednesday, January 13 at 6:30PM as part of the enrichment series that the theater presents to the general public. The film, entitled BARD IN THE BACK COUNTRY, is a very nice look at the business of performing Shakespeare’s works in rural America.
Mark your calendars to attend the “Dining with the Governors” luncheon, which will be held at the Lea Lou Co-op (formerly Grosse Lumber and Hardware) on the Square in Mason. The luncheon will be on Saturday, February 20th starting at 11:30AM. The luncheon will follow an historic theme taking the guests on a food journey through the pages of Texas history.

The 2016 Mason County Chamber of Commerce Awards & Appreciation Banquet will be held Thursday, February 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the Ft. Mason Park Community Building. The annual Awards Banquet is a great opportunity for the Chamber to thank our members, celebrate the accomplishments of our business and community leaders and pay tribute to the outstanding citizens who have made a difference in Mason County.

The first team meeting for the 2016 Mason County Cancer Benefit will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 5:15 p.m. in the Mason ISD Cafeteria.
Team packets will be available. Bring canned goods for donation and receive team points or just come for information. This year's theme is Campaigning for a Cure.
We will meet from 12:45 to 4:00 p.m. at the Extension office.
We will be giving (1) hour of General, (1) hour of Laws and Regulations and (1) hour of IPM.
If you plan on attending please RSVP by the 12th at 5 p.m. please.

The holidays are over. Kids are back in school. Christmas decorations are coming down and getting packed away. Normal is returning. Our family was truly blessed to be together this Christmas. I hope your family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. We all look forward to the New Year.

With the start of January we are all trying to remember to change the date to 2016, and to get started with the new year in a positive and productive manner. The City has a number of projects that will move forward dramatically in the coming months and we are expecting 2016 to be a year of truly good accomplishments.
