Menard/Kimble/Mason TRTA delegates attending the 2019 TRTA State Convention in Austin , April 1-3, include president, Mary Ann Bartlett; 1st vice-president, Sherry Hubbard; 2nd vice-president, Jeannie Sullivan; and parliamentarian, Sally Callan. The Convention had 894 members in attendance. TRTA membership numbers just under 94,000 members from across the state including retired teachers, administrators, and support personnel (secretaries, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, custodians, etc.).
Friends and family joined together to celebrate the Grand Opening of Church at the Camp, located on the grounds of Logan Ranch Camp in Mason, Texas on March 30, 2019. Church at the Camp is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church that was founded by Michael and Donna Logan. The Texas Girls Coaches Association selects All-State teams in basketball for conferences 1A through 6A. Selections are made by the TGCA All-State Committee at their annual meeting during the UIL State Basketball Tournament from nominations submitted by TGCA member coaches. The Committee members are selected by their peers during the regional meetings at Summer Clinic in July each year.

With the sun shining bright, the wildflowers and trees showing their color and the many activities and fundraisers on the calendar we are all well aware that Spring has come to our corner of the Hill Country. This past weekend was full, with the Chamber Music festival, Artfest on the Square, a couple of different food fundraisers and everyone watching basketball, but next weekend will also have its own schedule.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea Bray has joined the Frontera Healthcare organization and will be providing Pediatric care to patients in our Mason Clinic starting April 8th.
Dr. Bray has practiced General Pediatrics in Fredericksburg since 2005 and practiced in Dallas for four years prior to that. She graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Genetics and attended Medical School at UT Southwestern.
