It is Spring in Mason, and even with the swings in the temperatures the wildflowers are popping up and coloring the roadsides and hills with their special brand of magic. Along with the bluebonnets showing up all around town, you can tell it is spring also by the multitude of political signs that have appeared in the past couple of weeks.
Come to the square on Palm Sunday, April 14th and bring your appetite! The Annual Hamburger Picnic will be held on the west side of the square under the awning of the Odeon Theater on Palm Sunday from 11-1. In addition to delicious hamburgers hot off the grill, guests will enjoy a bag of chips and an ice cold soda for just $7.

Spring arrived last week and the wildflowers are beginning to color the landscape. The weather is pleasant and soon the trees will bud out and our yards will be green and full of life. The City is also working toward getting some spring projects underway. There should be some tree trimming happening this week to keep our electric lines free of limbs and interference.

At their meeting on Monday, March 25, the Mason I.S.D. School Board officially hired Michael McLeod as the Mason Puncher Athletic Director and Head Coach. McLeod replaces Kade Burns who has been hired as the new high school principal.
