We really enjoy Italian food and prepare it in some form or another at least three times a month. Italian food cries out for a bread to accompany it, so, over the years, I've accumulated quite a few recipes for Italian bread. Some of it is a bit “fussy” to prepare, but this recipe is right in the Practical Baker's wheelhouse: simple, just a few ingredients, and ready to put on the table in about an hour.

Back in my “talent” days I was on a photo shoot for Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Portraying a grandfather recovering from a heart attack, my visiting “grandson” and I were to carry on an ad-lib conversation while the photographer went about his business.

Somewhat like chocolate goodies, I've not met a cinnamon pastry that I've not liked. It's one of my many weaknesses, and the fact that you can let the bread machine do all the heavy lifting makes it even more attractive.
